Nicole Casavant, our Certified Physician Assistant (PA), believes communication is the key to a good provider/patient relationship. She encourages her patients toward active involvement in their own health management, and facilitates a true comprehension of their medical needs. Nicole is able to provide the same quality care as her counterpart physicians, while allowing our patients the option of a female healthcare provider. Her team approach with physicians allows her to provide direct patient contact while formulating diagnosis and treatment, performing office-based surgery, and assisting in major surgical procedures. She makes herself readily available to address patient concerns and host educational programs.

After growing up in Southwest Orlando, Nicole did her undergraduate studies at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, and received her medical training as a Physician Assistant at NSU. She has received specialized training in Family Practice, Women's Health and Dermatology. Prior to joining South Lake OB/GYN, she spent four years specializing in advanced dermatologic treatment and cosmetic laser surgery. She is extensively trained in Gynecology, Adolescent Care, Acne Care, Skin Rejuvination, and spider vein therapy.

Nicole has been providing Christian oriented medical care since 1997, and has had an active role in the community.
